POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our rapidly expanding advanced photonics design and manufacturing company needs the skills and drive of a seasoned Production Manager who is looking to further their career at one of Silicon Valley’s most exciting companies to work at. The successful candidate will be The Production Manager position is responsible for the oversight and total operation of the Production Department by ensuring efficient and timely production and delivery of goods for our valued customers. This position forecasts workflow according to existing inventory, customer needs and availability of personnel. Manager is also responsible for overseeing inventory management, delivering high quality finished products, and keeping staff working at capacity.

The candidate will report to, and work closely with the of Chief Operating Officer to achieve the company’s desired metrics.

  • Provide oversight of day-to-day tasks including supervisors all supported team members while ensuring that all required work is completed according to established schedules.
  • Plan and organize production schedules while ensuring all production processes are maintained and in accordance with all relevant health & safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure that the facility is in accordance with all required standards as well as organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
  • Organize relevant training sessions

Our requirements (to be considered you must have):

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited organization, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 10 years of high-tech manufacturing experience, ideally within the Telecom, Semiconductor, or Contract Manufacturing spaces.
  • Be a true proponent of continual improvement methodologies and be able to show a history or process innovations.
  • Exceptional written/verbal communication and math skills necessary.
  • Must be able to multitask effectively and prioritize time-sensitive projects in order to coordinate the workload for manufacturing, packaging and shipping groups.

Critical success factors (we’ll give strong preference to those who have):

  • An advanced degree in engineering or a production based discipline.
  • Previous work experience:
    • Direct experience in Telecom, automotive, industrial, or medical vertical production.
    • In market verticals heavily driven by industry quality programs: ISO, TS, etc.
  • A past history of success:
    • Managing complex projects with aggressive deadlines and completing them on-time and on budget.
